A space to talk openly, feel heard, and better understand yourself and your experiences.
Sometimes life can feel hard, and it can be difficult carrying everything on your own. Therapy offers you the time and space to talk about what's going on, feel heard, and better understand yourself. My role is to support you with compassion, curiosity and care, helping you navigate whatever challenges you're facing.
I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, providing compassionate support tailored to your individual needs. As an integrative therapist, I work from a person-centred foundation and integrate ACT, CBT, Transactional Analysis (TA) and mindfulness to create an approach tailored to your unique needs, helping us find a way of working that feels right for you.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationships, loss, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can help you make sense of your experiences, reconnect with who you are, and live more in line with what matters most to you.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and available in person in Stockport or online. I offer a free introductory phone call so we can get to know each other, talk about what you're looking for, and see if I'm the right therapist for you. Further information about fees and practical arrangements can be found on my FAQs page.

Hi, I'm Rachel
"A less stressed life isn’t created by becoming someone different, but by understanding yourself more deeply, accepting yourself as you are, and living in alignment with what matters most to you."
I'm a qualified integrative therapist and counsellor based in Stockport, offering therapy and counselling both in person and online.
I provide a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, helping you develop greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and understanding of the challenges you're facing.
The philosophy behind Less Stressed Living is simple: a less stressed life doesn’t come from fighting ourselves or constantly trying to be different. It comes from understanding ourselves more deeply, making space for our experiences as they are, and living in line with what matters most to us. When we let go of the struggle with who we think we should be, life can feel more balanced, meaningful and less stressful.
How I Can Help
Exploring your experiences with curiosity, compassion and without judgement
Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about who we are and where we're going. We may find ourselves struggling with difficult thoughts and emotions, repeating patterns that no longer serve us, or feeling pulled away from what matters most to us.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of your experiences. Together, we can explore what's going on for you with curiosity, compassion and without judgement, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your unique experiences.
My role is not to offer quick fixes or tell you what to do. Instead, I provide a supportive space where you can explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, deepen your self-understanding, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

My Approach
A tailored approach to therapy
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support you in a way that feels right for your individual needs. Every person is unique, and rather than following a single model, I tailor our work together to reflect your experiences, goals and circumstances.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to provide a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, accepted and understood. From this foundation, we can explore your experiences with openness, curiosity and compassion.
Depending on what feels most helpful, I may draw on:
Person-Centred Therapy – creating a safe and supportive space for self-exploration and personal growth
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – helping you develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings while reconnecting with what matters most to you
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – exploring the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours
Transactional Analysis (TA) – increasing awareness of patterns in relationships, communication and ways of relating
Mindfulness – developing greater awareness of the present moment with openness and curiosity.
Together, we'll create a space where you can deepen your understanding of yourself and your experiences while making room for difficult thoughts and feelings.
